b'How to Figure Out a PercentageAdding a percentage to a price seems complicated but is actually quite simple. Many options in the catalog are offered with a small percentage increase or decrease which allows you to price many products on your own.A percentage is simply a piece of the whole (or 100), like a fraction; 1%= 1 out of 100, and so on. 25% is 25/100, 5% is 5/100. For examples: 5% of $100 is $5.00. 10% of $4.90 is $0.49.To find the percentage you simply multiply the price times the percentage and divide by 100.Example:Price- $25.50Percentage- 15%Calculation- 25.50 x 15/100 (or .15) = $3.82When you need to add a percentage, you are going in the opposite direction. Instead of taking off a piece from the whole you are adding on top. You can first find the percentage and then add it to the original price. Using the example above, a 15% increase on $25.50 would be $25.50 + $3.82= $29.32. Another way to add a percentage is simply by adding 1 to the percentage and then multiplying it by the price. Again to use the sample above, in order to add 15% to 25.50, multiply 25.50 x 1.15= $29.32. This method is easy enough when you have one percentage to add but when you have multiple percentages it can get a bit confusing. When you need to add multiple percentages to one price, you can calculate each addition separately like above or simply add up all the percentages, and then multiply the total by the base price. It doesnt matter which order you add them, they will come out the same, (5+2+3) x 10 = 100, is the same as (3x10) + (2+10) + (5+10) = 100. Example:Price- $25.50Percentage- 15% & 10% & 8%Calculation- 15%+10%+8% = 33%, 25.50 x 1.33= $43.89 Area & CircumfrenceTriangleLength Converstion Chart a c Area= 1/2 x b x hC A L C U L A T I O N Sh Circumfrance= a+c+b1 12 .3048 meters1 yard 3 .9144 meters b1 sq yard 9 sq feet .8361 sq meters1 cm 10 mm 0.393701 feet1 meter 100 cm 3.28 feet Square1 meter 3.28 feet 1.09 yards a1 sq meter 10.76 sq feet 1.19 sq yards1 lbs 16oz 453.592 g1 kilo 100 grams 35.274 oz Area= a2 0.001mm .04mil .00004 Circumference= 4aCricleAbbreviationrImperial Metric Area=x r2 d Circumference= 2 xx rinch in ormilimeter mm =3.14foot ft orcentimeter cm 387yard yd meter msquare Foot sq ft sq meter sq mounce oz gram gm Rectanglepound lb kilogram kgArea= a x b(a) Circumference= (2 x a) + (2 x b)(b)'
